If you’re going to cut out 90% of all consumers by selling to the ultra wealthy then you’re never going to sell $1B.
When I look at the rollout of Meghan’s new As Ever products – with its loud luxurious pricing and carefully curated “artisanal” product list – I have to ask: who exactly is buying this? And more importantly: can this ever be a billion-dollar business? No….From where I’m sitting, the answer is no. Because to support a multi-billion-dollar valuation, you need a mass market appeal or at least a large premium niche. But Meghan’s brand is squarely aimed at the ultra-premium niche.
